Jarah Kessler

After I obtained my VWO diploma, I first had a gap year in which I worked and travelled, before ending up in Enschede. The choice to study Technical Medicine had already been made for a long time and I still don’t regret it. Unaware of all that student life had to offer, I thought the Kick-In was fantastic and immediately dived into it. I became a member of A.S.V. Taste quickly made new friends, formed a fantastic year club, and after six months moved into a nice student house. Everything drew me to get active and do more than just study.

After having done a number of committees and becoming a member of Heerendispuut FUBAR, I am currently chairman of A.S.V. taste. I just needed to put my studies aside for a year and completely immerse myself in student life. I still notice on a daily basis how valuable it is to develop yourself, both professionally and personally, during your student days. This is the time to make mistakes too because that’s how you learn the most.

I hope that as many students as possible will become active during their student days and also seek out student life outside the study couches. DAS contributes to achieving this and in my opinion the way to learn new things for the rest of your life!

After three years of studying for his bachelor’s degree in Technical Medicine, Jarah Kessler (1999) is currently chairman of the General Student Association Taste. Before this he has served on various committees at Taste, such as the Kick-In committee, First-year committee and the Order committee. He is also active in his year club VĂ¡monos and Heerendispuut FUBAR.
