Timon Metz

Naive and young, I left my safe home in Deventer, and moved to Enschede. During the Kick-In, I was guided through all facets of student life in Enschede at a rapid pace, it was time to start my studentlife. I choose to join student association Audentis and came to live in a men’s house. A number of years of studying and having fun, doing committees and a board year. Last year I had the privilege of being member of the University Council on behalf of the DAS faction. I tried to do my utter best to make sure you also receive all the freedom to do whatever you want. There is so much more than studying.,

So much for a story by so many others here in Enschede. But why DAS? It doesn’t matter whether you decide to join a study, student, or sports association. Whether you put energy into organizing a large-scale event or do groundbreaking research. It is that you have the freedom and the possibility to make your own choices in which you want to develop yourself.

DAS stands for this freedom and possibilities. Top-notch education with sufficient support and room for side activities.

Timon Metz  (1997) is in his Masters Industrial Engineering & Management at the UT. He is active at Audentis. At the moment he is a student member of the University Council. Also he holds the function “Minister President” of the studentcabinet.
